What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or web application. They allow the site to recognize your device, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences between visits.

We also use technologies that store information in your browser using local storage, similar to cookies but with a larger information capacity and generally longer retention. We refer to both cookies and these related technologies as "cookies" in this policy.

Categories of Cookies We Use

We use two categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary — required to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember your consent choice. These cannot be switched off, as the Service will not function correctly without them.
• Preferences — remember non-essential settings such as your chosen language and interface layout (for example, which sidebar sections you keep expanded). You can decline these; the Service remains usable, but some settings will reset each visit.
• Statistics — used to gain insight into how the Service is used, so we can measure and improve its performance. We do not currently set statistics cookies in ProtoCRM; this category is listed for completeness and will only be activated with your consent if introduced in the future.
• Marketing/tracking — used to build a profile of your interests and to show relevant advertising elsewhere. We do not currently set marketing or tracking cookies in ProtoCRM.

Cookies We Set

The table below lists the cookies Proto CRM currently sets directly. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

• Session/auth cookie (strictly necessary): keeps you signed in and identifies your session to our authentication provider.
• NEXT_LOCALE (strictly necessary): remembers which language you are viewing the application in.
• cookie_consent (strictly necessary): stores your cookie preference so we do not ask again on every visit.
• sidebar_groups_state (preferences): remembers which sidebar menu sections you have expanded or collapsed.

Cookies Placed by Third Parties

Where you choose to connect a third-party integration to your ProtoCRM workspace, that third party may place its own cookies in accordance with its own cookie and privacy policy, which we recommend you review. We do not currently embed third-party advertising, social media or analytics scripts that set cookies inside the application.

Consent

When you first visit the Service, we show a banner with these categories of cookies. As soon as you click "Accept All" or save your customized preferences, you consent to our use of the categories of cookies you selected, in accordance with this Cookie Policy.

Managing Your Preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below, which reopens the preference banner. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect the functionality of the Service.

Amendments

We reserve the right to amend this Cookie Policy, for example as our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
